If you have a high-speed DSL or cable modem connection, and are using a PC with Windows 98 or above, you should be able to stream and watch videos on WrestleMen via Windows Media Player. If they still are not playing properly, it could be from two problems: #1. You do not have Windows Media player 10.0 or above installed properly. (and/or) #2. Another media player has claimed ownership of .asx file extensions which link to the streaming media (.wmv) video files. Here is how you can tell if you have Problem #1 or #2 Click on the sample video link below. If the Windows Media Player program starts up (a blue player window; or if on AOL, the AOL media player loads), then you do NOT have problem #2. Therefore, you should just download and reinstall Windows Media Player 10.0 for your operating system. Click here to do that. Afterward, reboot your PC and try again on the link below. Sample video link: Click Here to Test Video Player Problem #2: If no player program loads even though you know you have Windows Media Player on your PC, or you get an error message in your browser window, then you will need to do a little work to fix it. But don't worry. Just follow the steps below. Print out the page so you can do them.
If it STILL does not load Windows Media Player, you will need to remove the player program that has decided it will play .asx files. Trust me, it is probably some cheap-ass program forced on your PC by an inadvertent download. ONLY Windows Media Player should play .ASX files. So if you never heard of the program, like VLC player, or whatever, remove it. To do that: Cancel out of the File Type menu. Click on your computer Start button, and look for Settings. Click on that, then Control Panel. On Control Panel, click on Add/Remove Programs. Once it loads all programs on your PC, scroll down and look for the name of the media player you made note of above that is NOT Windows Media Player. Once you find it, click on it and uninstall it. Click on Remove or whatever. After the program is uninstalled, close Control Panel, and reinstall Windows Media Player 10.0 for your operating system. Then test the link above again. I bet it will work for you! If not, email me at wrestlervic@aol.com and I will talk you through it.
